The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
